Flying anytime soon? And you found out that you apparently need a VALID ID to be able to check in to make sure or confirm your identity, that you are indeed the one that is named in the ticket that is booked? But you don’t know what are the accepted valid IDs accepted by the airlines here in the Philippines?
I’ve got the same question especially from the first time flyers. What are the IDs that are accepted by these airlines for a Domestic Flight? And some of their issues are that they no longer have a valid ID, it has already expired, or never had a valid ID. No worries, I got your back!
WHAT IS A VALID ID?
An IDentification that you are who you said you are. It includes your photo and usually just name, and some may have more information such as your date of birth, emergency contact, etc.
But when can you call it VALID? It is simply NOT EXPIRED. Such as the current Philippine Passport expires in 10 years from renewal or application, therefore if your passport have already expired 2 months ago and you still want to use it as your ID, it is NO LONGER VALID since it is expired.
In short, AN EXPIRED ID, is NOT A VALID ID.Also, if you are no longer with that company or no longer a student, you can’t use that ID or use the student ID since you are no longer part of that company or no longer a student.
