Paladin Hotel Baguio City – 3D/2N Stay Review

Baguio city is one of the place in Luzon that many of the city people go to, to just chill, relax, and get some cold air in their skin. So we did too, out of curiosity we visited Baguio city and stayed at one of the recommended hotels in Baguio City, Paladin Hotel.

The thing is, I was not sure if we’ll be able to stay at a hotel, and my friends who are familiar with Baguio or have been there says that transient homes are totally okay as long as they have a heater. It’s cold, they say, no air conditioner needed, since Baguio city is considered the biggest centralized air conditioner – local jokes.

Thankfully, there’s a room for us at Paladin Hotel!

Paladin Hotel is located just 2 blocks away from the Burnham Park, it’s also near to one of the favorites restaurant of some tourists, the Good Taste – just a block away. We also just walked the Café by the Ruins that’s near to the city hall. If you love walking then you can just totally walk the market too to buy some pasalubong.

Actually, if I’ll visit Baguio again I’d prefer to stay here again – well unless someone else have decided the accommodation for me and pay for it.

We got their Deluxe Room just the corner, just right to see other stuff and get a view.

The Hotel Room

The room is not huge but a good enough size. I don’t expect it to be huge since their trying to make it affordable, but the bed and pillows are comfortable to sleep on unlike other accommodations that risks these areas to save a few bucks.

A good bed, pillow, and blanket is really important in considering for an accommodation in Baguio. It’s a cold city for a Filipino, and a good sleep for walking all day is important to get the rest that you need. And Paladin Hotel was able to provide us all these.

The room has 2 big pillows, 2 medium size pillows, a comfortable blanket, a chair near the window, and another chair for the desk, a desk, cabinet, and a place to put your luggage (not what that’s called). What I love most about the room is that they have multiple plugs – for a person with a lot of gadgets to charge after a whole day of touring this is important. For those who have concerns that they don’t have an air conditioner, they have the fan to make it cooler for you.

The Hotel Bathroom

Just like other hotels, they also offer soaps, towels, and shampoo so you don’t have to bring your own. But as someone like me who have a sensitive skin, I need to bring my own.

What I like the most about the room is that they have a fan absorber (for when you make your deed) and the water heater for the shower is hassle free. No need to add anything, adjust, but just wait for 3 seconds for the hot water to be out.

The Hotel Restaurant

They also serve breakfast, it is usually included when you stay there, but as for us it wasn’t – which is okay since we did also want to check other restaurants for breakfast. The breakfast they serve is average, but even other restaurants nearby does. So, if you don’t want to be hassled, the hotel restaurant is okay.

If you want to go somewhere else, then just go to the next block where the Good Taste restaurant is. They’re already open even around 6am or earlier. The hotel breakfast meal rate and the Good Taste breakfast meal rate are pretty much the same, but with Good Taste you can also order their specialties.

The Hotel Room Rates

The Deluxe Room we have for 3 days and 2 nights is good for P1,889 / night (breakfast included) as for their other rooms, they have economy rooms, and even family rooms still at an affordable rate.

Exotic Philippines Hotel Ratings

The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable, which is what I totally love about this hotel. The location is also great since it’s easy to get a taxi there or jeepney since they do all pass by here. Their staff are also friendly, happy staff that serves with a smile – and I like that.

What you might back out to for this hotel though is the stairs. It’s more than 10 steps maybe to get to the front desk but they do have rooms available that are just few steps away from the entrance. So, you might reconsider if you’re with a disabled person or a senior since I believe they don’t have an elevator available.

As for my hotel rating for Paladin Hotel I’ll give them 4 stars out of 5 stars. I loved our stay here, we got a great good night sleep and nothing really bad to say about this hotel. I was very satisfied for the 3 days and 2 nights stay at the hotel. So, if you’re looking for a place to stay that is affordable and comfortable, then make this hotel as one of your choices to stay at when in Baguio City.

But for more details and a tour around the room that we have, please check out my vlog (video blog) where I'll be touring you around the room that we stayed at for 3 days and 2 nights.
