Anyway, since I needed a place to stay for a night somewhere in Makati, I’ve looked for hotels in Makati that will be willing to let me into their lovely rooms. I actually got a number of hotel offers, but AurumOne Makati hotel replied to me first and since I appreciate that they replied to my request in a snap, I closed the deal with them.

Still for the interested hotels who wish to get a review from me and be featured on this travel blog, no worries I do have plans on coming to Manila or at least drop by there. So there's still a lot of chances that we both could work together in the future. So, if you want to be featured in this blog, then do feel free to drop me a message.
Anyway, let's get started and let me share to you my experience with AurumOne Makati Hotel and give you a peak of what to expect from this hotel when you choose to stay here. But let's start off with a little bit of introduction about the hotel.
AurumOne Makati Hotel
AurumOne Makati is located at Barangay Bangkal in Makati, it’s along the Evangelista Street which is just about 10 minutes away from Terminal 3, and for me since I flew in with AirAsia, it took me about 30 minutes from Terminal 4 to the hotel. Not only it’s a hotel in the Makati City area but also a hotel that is near the adjoining city, Pasay city.So yes, if you're looking for a hotel in Manila that is just few minutes away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal 3 and 4, then include this hotel in your list of choices.
Other than the simplicity of this hotel, one of the things I like about AurumOne Makati is that it’s owned by a cooperative of OFWs. So yes, when you book a stay at this hotel you’re actually helping OFWs with their investment to build this hotel.
Here's a more detailed feature of the hotel, to give you a better peak about this hotel.
The Hotel Rooms
AurumOne Makati have a total of 63 rooms, rooms that are minimalistic in design but serves your primary needs. They have 42 Deluxe rooms …
9 Suites …
11 Lofts …
and 1 Premier Suite.
The loft and the premier suite is also best for someone who wants to stay longer. Both rooms got a sofa, kitchen, and dining.
This living room and kitchen are actually part of the premier suite, room 317. I actually love this room since I can entertain guests in the living room and not at the bedroom.
The room that AurumOne Makati Hotel gave me is the suite room, which was really perfect for me.
The bed is enough for me and my best friend to snuggle at the middle of the night, and talk till dawn. The comforter kept us warm all night and gave us a good night sleep. Didn't woke up really cold because of the really nice comforter and the awesome pillows, though when I got up it was already really cold - the way I want it.
The bed is also just near to the bathroom. I like that since I don't like walking away too far in the middle of the night to pee.
As you can see, the room is spacious enough that you can actually add more bed in this room. 2 to 3 more perhaps. Inside the cabinet, there's also an additional pillows for you to grab if 4 pillows on the bed is not enough.
The Hotel Bathroom
I think it's the bathroom that I only have a problem with the hotel. The shower area is just enough for you to take a shower. There was actually a time that I hit the walls with my hands because it's a bit tight for me. My best friend says also the same - who's a lot smaller than I am.It's hot and cold shower though. Which is cool for an affordable hotel.
You might also find the toilet tight but it was good enough for me. I was comfortable when I used it. I also appreciate the extension so I can wish without going for or looking for the Filipino's traditional "tabo" to wash my behind. I'm not really a toilet paper person, I feel cleaner with washing it with water.
I've been to 5 star hotels without that extension, and only have the option to wipe my behind with a toilet paper.
The whole bathroom though is all clean. I've wiped it with my own hands, and didn't found a single dust. See that for yourself!
The premier suite room by the way have 2 bathrooms, and the one near the living room is a lot bigger since it is also equipped for the disabled guests.
The Hotel Restaurant
The hotel does not actually have a restaurant. But you might ask why breakfast is included in the hotel. The hotel's rooftop is actually where they serve breakfast, and where you can take your breakfast and get to enjoy this view. There are only few varieties of food for breakfast, I only get a scope of a chicken, a fried egg, and a cup of coffee. But if you want other food choice, the family mart down stairs (which is open 24/7) have some packed meal sold, but the food is not that good either.
Still my best friend and I enjoyed our morning talk at the rooftop while having our breakfast.
The Hotel Room Rates
I'd love to share with you their room rates, but their hotel manager told me that they may update their rates anytime soon. So, for a much better and more updated room rates, it's best to check out their website since they do publish their rates there.Exotic Philippines Hotel Ratings
Now, as a hotel reviewer and the purpose of this blog post, I should be sharing with you my hotel rating. No worries, I'll be doing that! What I love about this hotel is the simplicity and the cleanliness of the place, the room colors are also warm too that makes me feel I'd love to go to sleep, the staff which are awesome by the way (they're happy employees), plus I really appreciate them having the 24/7 mini store at the lobby. I actually shopped there for food before going to the wedding, and after the wedding for a midnight snack.
For my one (1) night stay at AurumOne Makati Hotel, I'd give this hotel a hotel rating of 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.
They do have a free WiFi available, but I'm not sure why that there are certain areas of the room that the connection seems to be lost. But still, if you're in the right place, the speed is good enough for you to check emails, and even social media accounts.
Will I recommend AurumOne Makati Hotel to you? Definitely! Especially if you're like me who wants to be near the airport. I love it that they let a mini store be part of the building, they have a modern elevator, well maintained and clean hotel, and such a lovely staff. I was really happy with my stay at AurumOne Makati Hotel and if ever you've stayed at this hotel, I hope you'll enjoy it too and do feel free to share it with us!
