Philippine Arena

I don’t know if you’ve heard about it already but I’m going to talk about it anyway.

It’s been weeks I guess that it was announced by Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) – Church of Christ that they (or shall I say “we”) are making another great history in this world by developing and building the world largest dome in the Philippines that will be called “The Philippine Arena”.

The Philippine Arena is designed to be 50,000 seater, with floor area of 74,000 square and domed roof is nearly 36,000 square meters that is worth a total of $175 million and obviously it will be then the world’s largest Dome Arena.

Iglesia Ni Cristo seeks the expertise of well-known experts in their fields in building the Philippine Arena, where the architectural design was made by POPULOUS of Australia and BURO HAPPOLD of United Kingdom, while the construction of the Dome Arena is awarded to Hanwha Engineering and Construction Corporation.

The Philippine Arena is not the only building to be built in a farmland of Ciudad de Victoria (City of Victory) but together with it the Erano G. Manalo (EGM) Medical Center, EVM Convention Center, New Era University Bocaue Campus, and the New Era University Sports Complex will also be built at the same time and should be completed around 30 months and would be just in time for the centennial celebration of Iglesia Ni Cristo which will be on July 27, 2014.

Yes this TO BE world’s largest Dome Arena the million dollar project is under Iglesia Ni Cristo and not by the government. The foreign companies who are a part in planning, designing and constructing the Dome Arena are even shocked that they’re being called by the church and not by large company or the Philippine government. But this doesn’t mean that only the members of the church can use or can step on this area but everyone is welcomed to come over one day and witness yourself the beauty.

For further information here’s a video that I would like to share with everyone and prove that this is not a joke. So here’s the video of the ground breaking ceremony of the Philippine Arena:

I’m so excited for this project and would like to visit it one day after the whole project is finish. I want to be able to witness it myself one day and share the whole experience with everyone. So I hope, few years from now I could be able to continue blogging about the country, sharing my experience and tips and would be able to get back to you about the progress of this project.

NOTE:
Yes, I’m a member of Iglesia Ni Cristo
