Jpark Island Resorts the Abalone Buffet Restaurant

So just last week, Saturday, June 7, 2014 I got the chance to finally visit and experience what it’s like to be at the famous Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa (now with its new name Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark).

I don’t wake up early, so since I need to go to the resort as early as 8am I wasn’t able to take my breakfast which was fine with me since I usually take Brunch. But luckily, breakfast is already included and I was so happy because they have these meals that I haven’t tasted yet.

The Abalone

The Abalone is a buffet restaurant at Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark, with lots of international cuisines served for adults and kids – that is including Japanese, Oriental, Western and even Filipino dishes. With lots of dishes to choose from, I was just able to get these on my plate:

And yes, why did I just go for a pancake and the French toast? I love pancakes and I envy the pancakes on TV series and movies, and they look so delicious so I felt like I must really try it with fruits. And the French toast, we’ll I wasn't sure if I got the right taste of the French toast when I tried to make one at least now I know I got it right.

What I have on my plate?

I have the pancake with strawberry syrup, French toast with blueberry syrup, Sushi, Bacon, Canadian Ham, Tocino (my favorite) and of course some fruits to be healthy, the mango and watermelon.

The Abalone Buffet

In the Abalone area alone, they can cater up to 390 guests from breakfast, lunch and dinner. So imagine how large the area is and one side of it is where you’ll be able to choose your meal. Can’t imagine it? Then check out these photos I took at the Abalone, and some may be blurry due to moving people and my shaky arms but you’ll get the idea.

As for the dishes in their buffet that they offer, I couldn't list down everything but here are a couple of shots I got for you guys. First off, let's go to the side.

I didn't pick anything in this area, don't know what mixtures is best for me. The buffet also have a lot of people so I was quiet shy to ask if it taste good.

I found a lot of delicious dishes here, that is great for breakfast. I picked up the bacon, Canadian ham, pancake and French toast here. You can also find here the eggs - scrambled and the sunny side up.

Here you'll find more dishes. That's a scrambled egg by the way (on the left), I'm not sure if it taste good since I already have my egg for the week can't take another one more - my Mama forbids me to take more than 3 in a week.

Got kids? No worries. They'll surely love the cereals area. They have Corn Flakes, Coco Krunch, and a lot more.

They also have milk and low fat milk. I'm not sure what the nuts doing there, I guess it's best to mix it with the cereals. They also have the juices on that side.

Prefer a light meal? Get a bread. They have a lot of bread for you to choose from. They all look delicious but since my plate is already full, I decided not to pick anything.

Check out this bread with peaches. I was drooling on this but I can't take risk of getting one because I may not be able to finish it and ruin my diet - yeah I'm on a diet (at last).

Below you'll find this machine where you can put the bread and have it hot again. Never tried it before and never did on that day, since I didn't pick any bread.

Want to eat some salads?

I'm not into salads much, so I didn't have any salads. So I am not sure if their dressings are good, but hey! They seem to love it.

If you want fruits, then no problem. They have a fruit station, you'll be able to find it at the center, you'll surely notice it.

And yes, it's where I got the watermelon and of course the mangoes.

I was really full with my breakfast here, my plate is not that full and usually I do eat a lot (obviously), and I ate without rice and I was full. It’s totally 100% fulfilling meal for me. I feel like a pig on that day.

I'll update you next week with another blog post on Jpark Island Resort's Ching Hai restaurant, it's a must check out post. We totally loved the dumplings!
